The Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max and ZTE Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro both feature multi-lens main cameras, but with notable differences in their configurations. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a triple-lens main camera with 48 MP for each lens, while the Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro has a 50 MP primary camera, 50 MP secondary lens, and a 2 MP third lens. The iPhone’s wide aperture values vary, with the main camera lenses offering f/1.78, f/2.2, and f/2.8, while the Nubia’s main lenses feature f/1.9, f/2.2, and f/2.4. The iPhone also offers optical zoom at 8x, while the Nubia has no optical zoom capability.
For front cameras, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has an 18 MP front camera with a wide f/1.9 aperture, compared to the Nubia’s 16 MP front camera with a slightly narrower f/2.0 aperture. Both phones feature a built-in flash, but the iPhone has a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs, while the Nubia uses a single LED flash. The iPhone supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording, but the Nubia does not support these features. Additionally, the iPhone supports 2160p video recording at 120 fps, while the Nubia’s main camera can record video at a lower 4320p at 30 fps. Both phones support slow-motion video, have continuous autofocus when recording movies, and allow for manual exposure, ISO, and focus adjustments.
Both devices support time-lapse recording, can create panoramas in-camera, and have a touch autofocus system. However, the Nubia does not feature laser autofocus or a manual shutter speed option, which the iPhone offers. Neither device includes 360° panorama shooting capabilities, and neither phone has a front-facing LED flash. The iPhone does, however, include a BSI sensor, which the Nubia lacks, while both phones utilize CMOS sensors.
