The CMF Phone 2 Pro and the Vivo S30 both feature triple-lens main cameras with 50 MP, 50 MP, and 8 MP sensors. However, the wide aperture of the main cameras differs slightly, with the CMF Phone 2 Pro using 1.9f, 1.9f, and 2.2f, while the Vivo S30 has 1.9f, 2.7f, and 2.2f. Both phones have optical image stabilization, CMOS sensors, and phase-detection autofocus for photos. Additionally, both cameras can record video at 2160 x 30 fps and support slow-motion video recording, continuous autofocus during movie recording, and have manual exposure settings.
When it comes to front cameras, the CMF Phone 2 Pro has a 16 MP front camera with a 2f wide aperture, whereas the Vivo S30 has a much higher 50 MP front camera, also with a 2f wide aperture. Both devices feature a flash on the front camera but do not have a front-facing LED flash. Neither supports HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording. Both phones support the timelapse function and can create panoramas in-camera, but neither can shoot 360° panoramas or record in 3D photo/video capabilities.
For optical zoom, the CMF Phone 2 Pro offers 2x zoom, while the Vivo S30 provides 3x zoom. Both phones support manual ISO, manual focus, and touch autofocus, but only the Vivo S30 has a longer minimum focal length of 23 mm compared to the CMF Phone 2 Pro's 15 mm. The Vivo S30 also has a longer maximum focal length of 70 mm, while the CMF Phone 2 Pro's maximum focal length is 50 mm. Both phones have the same number of flash LEDs (1) and neither has a BSI sensor or laser autofocus.
