The Honor Magic V5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 both feature multi-lens main cameras, but with differing specifications. The Magic V5 includes a 64 MP, 50 MP, and 50 MP setup with a wide aperture of 2.5f, 2f, and 1.6f, while the Z Fold 7 offers a 200 MP, 12 MP, and 10 MP setup with a wide aperture of 1.7f, 2.2f, and 2.4f. Both devices support optical zoom at 3x, have phase-detection autofocus for photos, and continuous autofocus during video recording. However, the Magic V5 supports video recording at 2160 x 60 fps, while the Z Fold 7 can only record at 4320 x 24 fps. The Z Fold 7 also supports shooting 360° panoramas, a feature the Magic V5 lacks.
Both devices feature optical image stabilization and a front camera. The Magic V5 has a 20 MP front camera with a wide aperture of 2.2f, while the Z Fold 7 comes with two 10 MP front cameras, one with a 1.8f aperture and the other with a 2.2f aperture. Both front cameras have touch autofocus, manual exposure, and a timelapse function. The Magic V5 does not have a front-facing LED flash, while the Z Fold 7 has no front-facing LED flash either, but it does have a front-facing camera under the display, a feature not present on the Magic V5.
Both devices offer advanced features such as manual ISO, manual focus, and the ability to create panoramas in-camera. The Z Fold 7 supports raw shooting, while the Magic V5 does not. Additionally, the Magic V5 lacks a BSI sensor, while the Z Fold 7 has one, which could result in better low-light performance on the Z Fold 7.
