A gyroscope is built in, and an external memory slot is available, though the camera ships with no internal storage. The device does not carry a waterproof rating and has no dedicated bike mount. Operating temperatures range from 0 °C at the low end to a maximum of 40 °C, and the screen does not use branded damage-resistant glass.
The Akaso 360 is compatible with both Android and iOS devices and supports remote smartphone control, allowing users to operate the camera wirelessly from their phone. It connects via USB Type-C and uses Bluetooth 4.2, though aptX is not supported. First-party live streaming is available, while GPS, NFC, DLNA certification, HDMI output, a dedicated remote control, and a hot shoe for external flash are all absent.

Horizon leveling and invisible selfie stick support are also available, and timelapse recording is built in. Slow-motion video, Dolby Vision recording, and a video light are not supported.
The Akaso 360 includes a tripod mount, allowing it to be secured to standard tripods and compatible mounting accessories.
