The Altec Lansing Clip feature an open-ear fit and operate as true wireless earbuds, meaning there are no wires or cables involved. They support stereo sound output but do not include wingtips, a neckband design, RGB lighting, a UV light, or a display of any kind.
The Altec Lansing Clip cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, spanning the full extent of standard human hearing. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation, passive noise reduction, spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, or a neodymium magnet.
The Altec Lansing Clip are equipped with a rechargeable battery that provides 6 hours of playback, while the included charging case extends total usage to 18 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours via wired connection, as wireless charging is not supported, nor is solar charging. A battery level indicator is built in, letting users keep track of remaining power without guesswork.
The Altec Lansing Clip support wireless connectivity with a maximum Bluetooth range of 10 meters, and use USB Type-C for wired charging. Pairing options are limited to standard Bluetooth, as fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are not available. On the audio codec side, the earbuds do not support AAC, LDAC, LDHC, aptX in any of its variants (including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice), or Bluetooth LE Audio.
The Altec Lansing Clip support fast charging and can function as a headset, making them suitable for calls alongside music listening. Controls are handled through a panel placed on the device itself rather than an in-line control, and voice prompts are included to guide the user through pairing and settings. A mute function is also on board, and a travel bag comes included in the box. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device feature, notification readout, a temperature sensor, or a built-in camera remote.
The Altec Lansing Clip are fitted with two microphones, supporting voice capture for calls and headset use.
