The Asus ROG Azoth is a gaming mechanical keyboard with a compact 75% layout and a standard profile, built around a gasket mount design for a more cushioned typing feel. It supports three connection modes — 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.1, and wired USB — and includes a detachable cable for easier cable management. The board operates at a 1000 Hz polling rate and measures 326 × 136 mm with a 40 mm thickness, weighing in at 1186 g. It is not designed for Mac use, and the keyboard is not tailored specifically for macOS key layouts.
The Azoth features a plastic and aluminum case available in both black and white colorways, giving it a reasonably solid build without going fully metal. The keyboard has RGB backlighting across its keys, and adjustable feet allow the tilt angle to be changed based on preference. A wrist rest is not included in the package.
The Azoth ships with ROG NX linear mechanical switches, which have a smooth, non-tactile feel and actuate at a fixed 1.8 mm with a 44 g actuation force. The board supports hot-swappable switches, meaning they can be pulled out and replaced without any soldering work.
The Azoth includes N-key rollover (NKRO) for full simultaneous keypress registration, along with a USB passthrough port for connecting peripherals directly to the keyboard. It does not support analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, or adjustable actuation, and there is no built-in display on the board.
The Azoth uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement, so aftermarket keycap sets will fit without compatibility issues. The included keycaps are double-shot PBT with an OEM profile, offering a durable construction where the legends are formed through a two-part molding process rather than printed on. Media functions are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and there is no rotary dial on the board.
