The ROG Falcata is a gaming mechanical keyboard built around a compact 75% layout with a standard profile and gasket mount construction. It offers tri-mode connectivity — USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5 — and supports both wired and wireless use, with a detachable cable and a rated battery life of 610 hours. The keyboard operates at a polling rate of 8000 Hz and is not designed for Mac. Physically, it measures 327 mm wide, 127 mm tall, and 38 mm thick, with a weight of 968 g. It is not designed for Mac use and comes with a 2-year warranty.
The Falcata is finished in black and built with a plastic and aluminum case paired with an aluminum plate, giving the structure a mix of materials across its construction. It includes RGB lighting with a backlit keyboard, adjustable feet for typing angle customization, and comes bundled with a wrist rest.
The Falcata uses the ROG HFX V2 Magnetic Switch, a Hall effect linear switch with an actuation force of 32 g and a total travel distance of 3.5 mm. Its actuation point is adjustable anywhere between 0.1 mm and 3.5 mm, allowing for a wide range of sensitivity tuning. The switches are hot-swappable, making them replaceable without soldering.
The Falcata supports rapid trigger, dual actuation, adjustable actuation, and analog input, offering a notably configurable set of input options for its switch behavior. Full N-key rollover (NKRO) is also included, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered. On the other hand, the keyboard does not feature USB passthrough, an onboard display, or support for QMK, ZMK, or VIA firmware.
The Falcata uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement and PBT double-shot keycaps in an OEM profile. Media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and a rotary dial is included on the board for additional input control.
