Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra

It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, confirming full waterproof capability under the conditions that rating implies. The device does not feature a rugged build. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 px and a pixel density of 388 ppi, backed by a 144Hz refresh rate and a typical brightness of 1600 nits. The panel is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch and impact resistance, and it supports HDR10 as well as an Always-On Display mode. HDR10+and Dolby Vision are not supported, and there is no secondary screen. Always-On Display keeps glanceable information visible without fully waking the device.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 4 nm SoC with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at up to 3.3 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing, a 12.5W TDP, and integrated LTE. It is paired with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 4800 MHz across two memory channels, delivering a maximum memory bandwidth of 76.6 GB/s, alongside 512 GB of internal storage and a maximum supported memory ceiling of 24 GB. The Adreno 750 GPU clocks at 900 MHz, features 3 execution units, supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2, and OpenVG 1.2, and drives a single display. Cache configuration includes 1 MB of L2 and 12 MB of L3, and the chipset incorporates TrustZone security. In benchmarks, the device scores 1,532,000 on AnTuTu, 7,325 and 2,213 on Geekbench 6 multi- and single-core tests respectively, 20,909 on PCMark Work 3.0 performance, 815 minutes on the PCMark Work 3.0 battery test, and 1,717 on 3DMark Steel Nomad.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra sports a triple rear camera system with sensors at 50 MP (f/1.9), 32 MP (f/2.4), and 13 MP (f/2.2), all built on CMOS technology without back-illuminated sensors, and supported by optical image stabilization and 3x optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for stills, as well as continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. The rear camera is equipped with a single dual-tone LED flash and can record video at up to 4320 × 24 fps with HDR10 support, while slow-motion recording, timelapse, burst mode, and in-camera panoramas are also available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available; the system also supports RAW capture. Dolby Vision recording, 360-degree panorama, 3D photo or video, and an RGB flash are not included. On the front, a single 32 MP camera with an f/2.5 aperture handles selfies — it has no secondary lens, no under-display placement, and no front-facing flash.

The device runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Privacy controls are well covered, including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. Customization options include theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, extra dim mode, and customizable notifications with full notification permission controls. The OS also features on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text selection in images, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, battery health check, child lock, and device position tracking. Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported, and OS updates are not delivered directly from the platform vendor.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra houses a 5500 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a visible charge level indicator. It supports wired fast charging at 65W as well as wireless charging at 15W, and a charger is included in the box. Reverse wireless charging is not available.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, and a dual-microphone setup. On the wireless audio side, it supports aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive, while LDAC and aptX Lossless are not available. The device does not have a built-in radio.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra offers broad wireless connectivity, including 5G cellular, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with backwards compatibility across Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, alongside a USB Type-C port and dual SIM support. A stylus is not included, and features such as crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, a built-in projector, and motion or optical tracking are also not available.

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
