The Attack Shark X85 is a compact 75% gaming mechanical keyboard with a standard profile and gasket mount construction, measuring 355 × 185 × 55 mm and weighing 900 g. It supports tri-mode connectivity through USB, Bluetooth 5.1, and 2.4GHz wireless, and also accommodates wired use via a detachable cable. The keyboard polls at 1000 Hz and delivers up to 75 hours of battery life on a wireless charge. It is designed with Mac compatibility in mind and carries a one-year warranty.
The X85 features a case built from a combination of plastic and aluminum, with an aluminum plate, and is available in black, pink, and white colorways. The keyboard includes a backlit layout with south-facing RGB lighting, directing the illumination downward beneath the keycaps for a clean diffused glow effect. Adjustable feet are included to modify the typing angle, though no wrist rest is bundled with the keyboard.
The X85 comes equipped with linear mechanical White Jade Switches, offering a smooth keystroke feel with an actuation distance of 2 mm, an actuation force of 42 g, and a total travel distance of 3.5 mm. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering for straightforward customization or maintenance.
The X85 supports N-key rollover (NKRO), ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered without conflict. It does not include analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, or adjustable actuation functionality, and there is no USB passthrough port or onboard display. On the software side, the keyboard does not support QMK, ZMK, or VIA, limiting open-source firmware and remapping options through those platforms.
The X85 uses a standard ANSI (United States) layout with PBT double-shot keycaps in a Cherry profile, offering a familiar and consistent typing surface. The key arrangement follows a standard layout, and media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys. A rotary dial is also included, providing quick physical control for supported functions.
