The BenQ GV32 is a compact unit with dimensions of 130 × 191.4 × 211.2 mm and a weight of 1,600 g, giving it a relatively small physical footprint with a volume of 5,255 cm³. It uses a non-laser lamp rated at 20,000 hours under standard use and 30,000 hours in eco mode, while operating power consumption sits at 80 W and drops to just 0.5 W on standby. Audible noise during operation is 26 dB, reduced to 24 dB in eco mode, and the projector supports a dedicated smartphone app for added control convenience.
The GV32 projects at 1080p resolution with 500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 100000:1, supporting images up to 120″ from a minimum throw distance of 0.8 m. Focus is handled via motorized control rather than manual adjustment, while zoom is not motorized. The refresh rate runs at 60 Hz with a response time of 22.4 ms, and the image is rendered at 8-bit depth. HDR10 and HLG are both supported for wider dynamic range content, though HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are not. 3D content with glasses is also supported.
The GV32 covers wireless connectivity through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, and built-in Chromecast, allowing content to be streamed from a range of devices without cables. For wired connections, it offers one HDMI port and two USB ports, though there is no RJ45 Ethernet port, VGA connector, DVI connector, or S/PDIF audio output. Miracast is also not supported.
The GV32 includes built-in stereo speakers rated at 2 × 4W with Dolby Atmos support, along with a 3.5 mm headset jack for connecting external audio. A built-in smart TV platform is integrated directly into the unit, and a remote control is included for navigation. Voice commands and an external memory slot are not available, and the projector does not feature vertical or horizontal lens shift.
