Blackview BV6200 Plus

The Blackview BV6200 Plus features a rugged build with an IP68 waterproof rating, making it fully protected against water ingress. It measures 174.4 mm in height, 82 mm in width, and 19.2 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 274.57536 cm³. The device weighs 438 g and does not support a folding form factor.

The display is a 6.56″ IPS LCD touch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 269 ppi. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate, contributing to smoother on-screen interaction. The panel does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen present.

The Blackview BV6200 Plus is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 2 x 1.6 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support, paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 1600 MHz and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage expandable up to 1024GB. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 MP1 GPU clocked at 650 MHz with 64 shading units, one execution unit, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support. The SoC includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics, TrustZone security, and a 10W TDP, while cache is arranged across 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3 with a maximum memory bandwidth of 12.8 GB/s and a maximum supported memory amount of 14GB. Benchmark results place it at 371 single-core and 1391 multi-core on Geekbench 6, 313 single-core and 1175 multi-core on Geekbench 5, and a PassMark score of 2663 with a single-core result of 988.

The BV6200 Plus features a dual-lens rear camera system combining a 16 MP and a 2 MP sensor, both backed by a BSI CMOS sensor and phase-detection autofocus for photos, along with touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, manual focus, manual exposure, manual ISO, and manual white balance, though optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and manual shutter speed are absent. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with slow-motion recording supported, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. The rear camera is accompanied by a single LED flash — not dual-tone or RGB — and supports HDR mode, burst mode, and in-camera panoramas, but cannot shoot in RAW format or capture 360-degree panoramas. On the front, a 13 MP single-lens camera is present without a front-facing flash, an under-display placement, or a secondary lens.

The device runs Android 14, a free and open-source platform that supports multi-user access, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. On the customization side, the OS offers dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, customizable notifications, notification permissions controls, and a media picker, while focus modes and app offloading are not supported. Usability is further rounded out by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, a child lock, battery health check, an extra dim mode, and the ability to play games while they download, though Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and PC mode are absent, and direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided.

The BV6200 Plus is equipped with a 11000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a clear read on remaining charge at a glance. The battery is non-removable and does not support wireless charging.

The audio configuration of the BV6200 Plus is fairly minimal — it includes a built-in radio but lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codecs are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The BV6200 Plus supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C, though 5G is not available. Cellular connectivity is present alongside NFC, GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, while a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, and ANT+ are all absent. Download speeds reach up to 300 Mbits/s and upload up to 100 Mbits/s. The device includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication but does not feature 3D facial recognition or an iris scanner. An external memory slot is available for storage expansion, while HDMI output, DLNA certification, a heart rate monitor, motion tracking, optical tracking, a built-in projector, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, and a stylus are not included.

The BV6200 Plus includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
