The boAt Airdopes 91 are true wireless in-ear earbuds with no neckband or connecting cable between the two units, and no wingtips are included for additional ear stability. They carry an IPX4 rating, meaning they are resistant to sweat and light moisture. Stereo sound is supported across both earbuds.
The Airdopes 91 use a 10 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The earbuds provide passive noise reduction through their in-ear fit, which naturally attenuates ambient sound without any active processing, though active noise cancellation is not available. A neodymium magnet is not part of the driver configuration.
Each earbud houses a 35 mAh rechargeable battery delivering 8 hours of playback per charge, while the 300 mAh charging case adds a further 32 hours of backup capacity for a combined total of 40 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and wireless charging is not supported — the case charges via a wired connection only. A battery level indicator is included so users can keep track of remaining power without guessing.
The Airdopes 91 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 50 ms. The earbuds do not support any aptX variants, LDAC, LDHC, or AAC, leaving SBC as the implied default codec. NFC pairing and fast pairing are both absent. For charging, the case uses a USB Type-C connection.
The Airdopes 91 supports fast charging and can be used as a headset for calls, with a mute function, voice prompts, and an on-device control panel all included. A travel bag is provided in the box, and the earbuds come with a one-year warranty. In-line controls, ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find-device feature, and a body temperature sensor are all absent from the feature set.
The Airdopes 91 is equipped with four microphones that include noise-canceling capability, aimed at reducing background interference during calls and voice interactions.
