The boAt Nirvana Iris adopt a true wireless, in-ear design with no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds. They carry an IPX4 ingress protection rating, making them resistant to sweat during workouts or daily wear. The earbuds support stereo playback but do not include wingtips for additional fit security, nor do they feature RGB lighting, a UV light, or an on-unit display.
The boAt Nirvana Iris are equipped with active noise cancellation (ANC) alongside passive noise isolation, helping to reduce both external noise actively and through the physical seal of the in-ear fit. Each earbud uses a 10 mm driver unit with a frequency response spanning 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The earbuds do not support spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo processing, and the drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
The boAt Nirvana Iris earbuds carry a 70 mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to 24 hours of playback, while the 600 mAh charging case extends total battery availability to 96 hours. A full charge takes around one hour, and a battery level indicator lets users monitor remaining power. The earbuds do not support wireless charging or solar charging, so recharging is handled through a wired connection.
The boAt Nirvana Iris connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 60 ms. The charging case uses USB Type-C for wired charging, but the earbuds do not support fast pairing or NFC pairing. On the codec side, none of the aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice — are supported, and the earbuds also lack LDAC, LDHC, AAC, Bluetooth LE Audio, and Auracast.
The boAt Nirvana Iris include an ambient sound mode and in-ear detection that automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed. They support multipoint connectivity for up to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, with a mute function available during calls. Controls are placed on the device itself rather than an in-line panel, and voice prompts provide audio feedback for various functions. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. The earbuds do not offer a find device feature, notification readout, body temperature sensing, or a built-in camera remote shutter.
The boAt Nirvana Iris feature a 4-microphone setup with noise cancellation, allowing the microphones to filter out background noise during calls and voice interactions.
