It does not include a cellular module, meaning it relies on a paired phone for data and notifications rather than operating independently. It can answer calls, manage call control, and receive wrist notifications directly from the watch, with a single built-in microphone handling audio input and voice commands also supported. Heart rate-related features include resting heart rate measurement and fast/slow heart rate notifications, though HRV tracking, VO2 max, ECG, and irregular heart rate warnings are not available. Silent alarm and vibrating alerts handle discreet notifications, while a stopwatch adds basic timekeeping utility; a smart alarm, however, is not included. The watch also supports a camera remote shutter function and a phone-finder feature, but does not offer fall detection, a readiness or recovery score, or fast GPS lock. It does not have a front camera, and the warranty period covers one year.

The companion app for the boAt Storm Call 3 is free and ad-free, providing a clean experience without additional cost or interruptions. It covers a solid range of health and lifestyle tracking tools, including calories burned, water intake, weight tracking, an exercise diary, activity reports, inactivity alerts, goal setting, achievements, and period notifications. Despite this breadth, the app does not support coaching, temperature tracking, data export to email, widgets, app personalisation, or a barcode scanner, keeping its feature set functional but relatively fixed in terms of customization.

The boAt Storm Call 3 includes a battery level indicator so users can keep track of remaining charge at a glance. It does not support a passcode for security, auto-pause during workouts, or compatibility with external heart rate monitors. The watch also lacks an external memory slot and a 3.5 mm audio jack, and it is not compatible with Windows or Mac OS X desktop platforms.
