The Boult Audio F Charge Max uses an in-ear fit and is built as a neckband-style earbud, with wingtips included to help keep each earbud securely in place during use. It does not follow a true wireless design, meaning the two earbuds remain connected via a cable. The earbuds carry an IPX5 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant and suitable for workouts or active use. Stereo speakers are present across both sides, while RGB lighting, a UV light, and an on-device display are not part of this design.
The Boult Audio F Charge Max relies on a 13mm driver unit to reproduce audio across a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. It includes passive noise reduction, which uses the physical fit of the earbuds to attenuate ambient sound, though active noise cancellation is not supported. The earbuds do not feature a neodymium magnet, and there is no support for spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo processing.
The Boult Audio F Charge Max is equipped with a rechargeable battery rated for up to 100 hours of battery life, and it includes a battery level indicator so users can keep track of remaining charge at a glance. Charging is handled through a wired connection, as wireless charging is not supported, and there is no solar charging capability.
The Boult Audio F Charge Max supports wireless Bluetooth connectivity with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 50 ms. It uses USB Type-C for wired charging but does not support NFC pairing or fast pairing for quicker setup. On the codec side, none of the advanced options are available — LDAC, LDHC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice are all absent, and there is no support for Bluetooth LE Audio or Auracast.
The Boult Audio F Charge Max can be used as a headset and includes an in-line control panel along with a control panel placed on the device itself, giving users physical access to playback and call management. It supports fast charging, connects to up to two devices simultaneously via multipoint pairing, and provides voice prompts to relay status information. A mute function is also built in, which is useful during calls. Features such as ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for auto-pausing, a find-device function, notification readout, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter are not included, and no travel bag comes in the box. The earbuds are backed by a one-year warranty.
The Boult Audio F Charge Max features a single noise-canceling microphone, designed to reduce background noise during calls and voice interactions.
