The CMF Buds use an in-ear fit and are fully wireless, with no neckband, cables, or wingtips included. Each earbud weighs 9.14 g and carries an IP54 ingress protection rating, offering resistance to sweat without support for full water submersion. The earbuds feature stereo speakers but omit RGB lighting, a UV light, and any built-in display, keeping the physical design straightforward and uncluttered.
The CMF Buds are equipped with a 12.4 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. They support both active noise cancellation (ANC) and passive noise reduction, giving users two layers of isolation from ambient sound. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported, and the drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
The CMF Buds carry a 45 mAh rechargeable battery per earbud, delivering 8 hours of playback under normal conditions or 5.6 hours with ANC enabled, and the 460 mAh charging case extends the total available listening time to 27.5 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator is included to keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging and solar battery functionality are not supported.
The CMF Buds connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 m, and support fast pairing as well as the AAC codec for audio transmission. Charging is handled through USB Type-C. On the codec side, LDAC, LDHC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice are all absent, and the earbuds do not support Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, or NFC pairing.
The CMF Buds include a practical set of features for daily use, among them ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for automatic music pausing, a find device function, and a mute option. They support multipoint connection across two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, with device-based touch controls and voice prompts rounding out the interaction options. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. Notification reading, an in-line control panel, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are not available.
The CMF Buds feature a four-microphone array paired with a noise-canceling microphone, allowing the earbuds to handle voice calls and voice input while working to reduce unwanted background noise during capture.
