The Crossbeats Sonic 3 adopts an in-ear fit and operates as a fully true wireless design, meaning there are no cables or neckbands involved. The earbuds do not include wingtips but do feature stereo speakers for two-channel audio output. For moisture protection, they carry an IPX5 rating, which means they are built to handle sweat during workouts or physical activity, though this does not extend to full water submersion.
The Sonic 3 uses a 13 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with an impedance of 32 Ohms and a sound pressure level of 109 dB/mW. It supports both active noise cancellation (ANC) and passive noise reduction, giving it two layers of isolation from ambient sound. The drivers do not use a neodymium magnet in their construction.
The Sonic 3 earbuds carry a 40 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 10 hours of playback, while the 300 mAh charging case extends the total to 50 hours before an external power source is needed. A full charge takes 2 hours, and a battery level indicator lets the user monitor remaining power. Wireless charging is not supported, so the case relies solely on wired charging.
The Sonic 3 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 40 ms. The AAC codec is supported, while higher-end audio codecs including LDAC, LDHC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice are not available on this model. Pairing is handled through standard Bluetooth only, as neither fast pairing nor NFC pairing is supported. The charging case uses a USB Type-C port for wired charging.
The Sonic 3 includes an ambient sound mode for letting in environmental audio, a mute function, and voice prompts to assist with in-use notifications. Controls are placed directly on the earbuds rather than on an in-line panel, and the earbuds can also function as a headset for calls. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. The product does not feature in/on-ear detection, a find-device function, or a body temperature sensor, and comes with a 1-year warranty.
The Sonic 3 is equipped with a quad-microphone setup that includes noise-canceling capability, allowing it to reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice interactions.
