Cubot KingKong Mini 4

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 is built with a rugged construction and carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, meaning it is fully waterproof and resistant to dust and immersion. The device measures 128.7 mm in height, 61 mm in width, and 16.9 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 132.68 cm³ and a weight of 192 g. It does not support a folding form factor, maintaining a fixed, conventional smartphone design throughout.

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 features a 4.7″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 373 ppi. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen present on the device.

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 is powered by the Unisoc T616 chipset, built on a 12 nm process and configured as an octa-core processor running at 2 x 2 GHz and 6 x 1.8 GHz across 8 threads using big.LITTLE technology. It is paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 1866 MHz, 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and a maximum supported memory amount of 14GB, with a memory bandwidth of 14.928 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MP1 GPU with a turbo clock of 750 MHz, supporting OpenGL ES 3.2 and OpenCL 2.0. The chipset supports 64-bit processing, integrated LTE, and ARM TrustZone security, and it includes 1 MB of L3 cache. Benchmark results place the device at 412,677 on AnTuTu, with Geekbench 5 scores of 380 (single-core) and 1391 (multi-core).

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 features a 48 MP single-lens rear camera with a CMOS sensor, phase-detection autofocus for photos, continuous autofocus during video recording, and touch autofocus support. Manual controls are available for ISO, focus, exposure, and white balance, and the camera also includes a built-in HDR mode, burst shooting, and in-camera panorama. A single LED flash is present on the rear, while optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, dual-tone flash, BSI sensor, slow-motion video, RAW capture, manual shutter speed, timelapse, 360° panorama, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, and 3D photo or video capabilities are not supported. On the front, a 16 MP single-lens camera is included without an under-display placement or a front-facing flash.

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, among them clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, notification permissions, a media picker, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, app offloading, an extra dim mode, and the ability to play games while they download. It also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, multi-user support, phone tracking, and a battery health check. Direct OS vendor updates are not provided, and the device does not support focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, or PC mode.

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 is equipped with a 4700 mAh rechargeable battery that supports fast charging at 10W, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a clear read on remaining charge at a glance. The battery is not removable, and the device does not support wireless charging or reverse wireless charging.

On the audio side, the Cubot KingKong Mini 4 does not feature stereo speakers, relying instead on a single-channel output. Bluetooth audio codec support is also limited, with no aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC available on the device.

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C, while 5G is not available on this device. Cellular connectivity is present, with download speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s, and an external memory slot is included for storage expansion. On the sensor and security front, the phone incorporates a fingerprint scanner, GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, compass, and accelerometer, though it lacks a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ support. 3D facial recognition, iris scanning, crash detection, satellite SOS, DLNA certification, HDMI output, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent, and no stylus is included.

The Cubot KingKong Mini 4 includes a video light, which can be used to illuminate scenes during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
