The Doogee R20 is a water-resistant tablet with an IP68 rating and a depth tolerance of 1.5 m, built to handle wet or outdoor conditions. It measures 258.9 mm wide and 169.6 mm tall with an 18 mm profile, and weighs 931 g — a substantial build that reflects its rugged construction. No stylus, detachable keyboard, backlit keyboard, or tilt sensitivity is included or supported.
The R20 features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 px at 224 ppi, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for added resistance against surface damage. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and is neither a sapphire glass nor an e-paper display.
The R20 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, a 6 nm octa-core chipset using big.LITTLE and HMP architecture with two cores at 2.2 GHz and six at 2.0 GHz, operating within a 5W TDP and rated to 95 °C. It is paired with 8GB of RAM running at 4266 MHz across two memory channels, delivering a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s, with support for up to 12GB total and 256GB of internal eMMC 5.2 storage expandable via a memory card. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with a turbo mode reaching 2133 MHz, 32 shading units, DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support across up to two displays. The chip integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and includes TrustZone security. Geekbench 6 scores come in at 729 single-core and 1979 multi-core, and the device runs Android 13.
The R20 has a single rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor at f/1.8, supported by touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during recording, and manual controls for ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance. Video recording reaches up to 1440p at 30 fps, with slow-motion also available, though HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, optical image stabilization, burst mode, panorama, manual shutter speed, and optical zoom are not supported. The rear flash is a single LED unit with no dual-tone or RGB configuration, and a video light is present for use during filming. The front camera is a 16 MP unit at f/2.0 with no dedicated flash.
The R20 includes stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a built-in FM radio, covering the core wired and broadcast audio bases. None of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs are supported, meaning aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.
The R20 is equipped with a 21600 mAh non-removable rechargeable battery that supports fast charging. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring remaining charge. Wireless charging is not supported.
The R20 supports Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual SIM with an integrated cellular module, offering download speeds up to 650 Mbit/s and upload up to 150 Mbit/s, though 5G is not available. Location support covers GPS, Galileo, and a compass, with a gyroscope and accelerometer also present for motion sensing. Connectivity hardware includes USB Type-C (USB 2.0), while HDMI, Ethernet, NFC, a fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, a barometer, and a built-in projector are all absent, and biometric options such as 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not supported. On the software side, the device covers a broad feature set including split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, customizable notifications, full-page screenshots, a media picker, extra dim mode, Live Text, offline voice recognition, voice commands, sharing intents, child lock, multi-user support, on-device machine learning, and phone tracking. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, Wi-Fi password sharing, battery health check, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and direct OS vendor updates are not available.
The R20 uses DDR4 memory.
