The Ducky ProjectD Tinker 75 is a standard mechanical keyboard in a compact 75% layout, connecting via USB with a detachable cable and running at a 1000 Hz polling rate. It uses a gasket mount design and carries a standard profile. The board measures 330 mm wide, 155 mm deep, and 45 mm thick, weighing 802 g, and includes adjustable feet. It is not designed for Mac, comes with a one-year warranty, and is wired-only with no wireless connectivity.
The Tinker 75 features a plastic and aluminum case in black, paired with an FR4 plate. The keyboard is backlit with RGB lighting using south-facing LEDs, which directs light toward the bottom of each keycap. Adjustable feet are included to allow some variation in typing angle, though no wrist rest is bundled with the board.
The Tinker 75 comes fitted with Cherry MX Red switches, a mechanical linear switch with a smooth, uninterrupted keystroke and no tactile bump. They require 46 g of actuation force and have a total travel distance of 4 mm. The board supports hot-swappable switches, meaning the installed switches can be removed and replaced without soldering.
The Tinker 75 supports QMK and VIA, giving users access to extensive key remapping, macro programming, and layout customisation through widely used open-source tools. N-key rollover (NKRO) is included, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered without conflict. The board does not feature analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, or adjustable actuation, and there is no USB passthrough or onboard display. ZMK support is also absent.
The Tinker 75 uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement, making it compatible with widely available aftermarket keycap sets. The included keycaps are PBT double-shot in Cherry profile, a construction method that produces legends resistant to wear over time. Media functions are accessible via the Fn key rather than through dedicated keys, and there is no rotary dial on the board.
