The Edifier Huazai Halo Space uses an over-ear fit and weighs 327 g, with a closed-back design and stereo speakers built in. It is not intended for children and cannot be folded for compact storage. On the cable side, it features a detachable, tangle-free cable, adding convenience for everyday handling. The headphones offer no water resistance, but a travel bag is included in the box, providing a dedicated way to carry and store them.
The Huazai Halo Space covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz through 40 mm driver units, though these do not use neodymium magnets. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are present, giving the headphones a layered approach to blocking out ambient sound. Spatial audio is supported, broadening the listening experience beyond standard stereo playback.
The Huazai Halo Space runs on a built-in rechargeable battery that is not removable and does not support wireless or solar charging. It delivers up to 50 hours of battery life under standard use, dropping to 30 hours when active noise cancellation is enabled. Charging is handled via USB Type-C, and a battery level indicator lets users keep track of remaining charge without guesswork.
The Huazai Halo Space supports both wireless and wired connectivity, with the wireless side running on Bluetooth 5.3 at a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 17 ms. For codec support, it includes LDAC and LDHC, but does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, AAC, or Bluetooth LE Audio. Auracast, fast pairing, and NFC-based pairing are also absent from the feature set.
The Huazai Halo Space can be used as a headset, equipped with a single noise-canceling microphone for voice calls and communication. Controls are handled through an on-device control panel, while an in-line control panel is not included. Ambient sound mode is available, allowing users to let in environmental audio when needed. The headphones do not feature in/on-ear detection for automatic music pausing, nor do they offer a mute function.
The Huazai Halo Space includes RGB lighting, adding a visual element to its overall design.
