The Edifier NeoBuds Plus use an in-ear fit and are fully true wireless, with no cables or neckband involved. They carry an IP54 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant and suitable for active use. Stereo speakers are built in, while features such as RGB lighting, wingtips, a display, and UV light are not part of the design.
The NeoBuds Plus include both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction, giving them two layers of sound isolation during playback. Audio is handled by a 10 mm driver unit with a frequency range spanning 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz and a sound pressure level of 92 dB/mW. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, and a neodymium magnet are not part of the sound setup.
The NeoBuds Plus deliver 11 hours of battery life per charge, dropping to 8 hours when active noise cancellation is enabled, while the charging case extends total playback to 36 hours. A full charge takes 2 hours, and the earbuds support wireless charging alongside standard wired charging via their rechargeable battery. A battery level indicator is built in, and there is no solar charging option.
The NeoBuds Plus connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 60 ms. Supported codecs include LDAC, LDHC, and AAC, while aptX in all its variants — including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not supported. Fast pairing is available, though NFC pairing and Auracast are not, and Bluetooth LE Audio is absent as well. The charging case uses USB Type-C, and the earbuds can be used fully wirelessly.
The NeoBuds Plus include an ambient sound mode and in-ear detection that can automatically pause playback when the earbuds are removed. They support multipoint connection to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, with a mute function and voice prompts rounding out the call and communication features. Fast charging is supported, and a control panel is available on the device itself, though there is no in-line control panel. A travel bag is included in the box, while notification readout, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are not part of the feature set.
The NeoBuds Plus are equipped with a six-microphone array that includes noise-canceling capability, helping to reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice interactions.
