The Eggel Energy Buds 2S use an in-ear fit and are fully cable-free, functioning as true wireless earbuds without a neckband. They carry an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning they can withstand water exposure beyond a light splash. Stereo speakers are present on both sides, while wingtips, RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display are all absent from the design.
The Eggel Energy Buds 2S use a 6 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Passive noise reduction is included to help block ambient sound, though active noise cancellation is not supported. The earbuds do not feature a neodymium magnet, and there is no support for spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo processing.
The Eggel Energy Buds 2S house a 40 mAh rechargeable battery in each earbud, delivering up to 7 hours of playback per charge, while the 470 mAh charging case extends total battery life to 35 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator is on hand to keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The Eggel Energy Buds 2S connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 with a maximum range of 10 meters, and AAC codec support is included for audio transmission. USB Type-C is available for wired charging. Fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are not supported, and the earbuds do not carry any aptX variant — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice — nor do they support LDAC, LDHC, or Bluetooth LE Audio.
The Eggel Energy Buds 2S support fast charging and include a find-device feature to help locate misplaced earbuds. They can function as a headset for calls, offer a mute function, and provide voice prompts for user guidance. Controls are handled through a panel placed on the device itself, with no in-line control panel present. A travel bag is included in the box. Ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, notification reading, a temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are all absent.
The Eggel Energy Buds 2S are fitted with four microphones and include noise-canceling microphone processing, which works to reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice recordings.
