The Final UX5000 uses an over-ear fit and weighs 310 g, making it a moderately sized closed-back headphone with stereo speakers. It can be folded, which combined with the included travel bag makes it reasonably convenient to pack and carry. The cable is detachable and tangle-free, though the headphone offers no water resistance. It is not designed for children.
The Final UX5000 features active noise cancellation alongside passive noise reduction, providing two layers of isolation from ambient sound. Its 40 mm drivers cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz, and the drivers do not use a neodymium magnet. Spatial audio is not supported.
The Final UX5000 has a rechargeable battery with a 65-hour battery life in standard use, dropping to 45 hours when active noise cancellation is enabled. It charges fully in 2 hours via USB Type-C and includes a battery level indicator so users can monitor remaining charge. The battery is not removable, and the headphone does not support wireless charging or solar charging.
The Final UX5000 supports both wireless and wired connectivity, using Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m. For audio codecs, it includes aptX Adaptive, LDAC, and AAC, while aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and LDHC are not supported. Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast are absent, and the headphone does not offer fast pairing or NFC-based pairing.
The Final UX5000 can be used as a headset, equipped with a noise-canceling microphone and an ambient sound mode for awareness of surrounding audio. Controls are handled via an on-device panel rather than an in-line control on the cable. It supports multipoint connectivity for up to 2 devices simultaneously, though it lacks in/on-ear detection and does not include a mute function.
