It is not a true wireless model, as the neckband connects both earpieces. The earbuds carry an IPX5 ingress protection rating, meaning they are resistant to sweat, which makes them suitable for physical activity. Stereo speakers are present, delivering audio through both sides for a fuller listening experience.
The Fire-Boltt Fire Band Nova uses a 14.2 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. It does not feature active noise cancellation, but passive noise reduction is present, helping to block out some ambient sound through the physical fit of the earbuds. The drivers do not use a neodymium magnet in their construction.
The Fire-Boltt Fire Band Nova is equipped with a rechargeable battery rated at 40 hours of battery life, offering extended use between charges. A battery level indicator is built in, so users can keep track of remaining charge at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported, meaning the device must be connected via cable to recharge.
The Fire-Boltt Fire Band Nova connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum wireless range of 10 meters, and uses USB Type-C for wired charging. On the audio codec side, the earbuds do not include AAC, LDAC, LDHC, or any variant of aptX, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice, meaning audio is transmitted using the standard SBC codec by default.
The Fire-Boltt Fire Band Nova supports multipoint connectivity with up to two devices simultaneously, and can be used as a headset for hands-free calls, with a mute function available during use. An inline control panel is present on the device itself, making it straightforward to manage playback and calls without reaching for a paired device, and voice prompts provide audio feedback for various actions. Fast charging is supported, which helps reduce downtime when the battery needs topping up. The earbuds do not include ambient sound mode, in-ear or on-ear detection for auto-pausing, a find device feature, a body temperature sensor, or a travel bag in the package.
