The Fossibot DT2 features a rugged, waterproof build measuring 253.4 x 163.2 x 20.5 mm and weighing 1,065 g, with a total volume of 847.78 cm³. The tablet does not come with a stylus, a detachable keyboard, or pen tilt sensitivity, and the keyboard — if used — is not backlit. Its construction is clearly oriented toward durability over slim portability, reflecting its intended use in demanding environments.
The Fossibot DT2 uses a 10.4-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels at 224 ppi, delivering a reasonably detailed image across its display area. Brightness is rated at 400 nits and an anti-reflection coating is applied to help manage glare in outdoor conditions. The panel does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, sapphire glass, or an e-paper layer, and HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision are not supported.
The Fossibot DT2 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with a TDP of 5W and a maximum operating temperature of 95°C. Its eight-thread CPU uses big.LITTLE technology with two performance cores at 2.2 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2 GHz, and HMP scheduling is enabled for more efficient multi-core workload distribution. The tablet ships with 12GB of DDR4 RAM at 4266 MHz across two memory channels, offering a maximum bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s, and 256GB of eMMC 5.2 internal storage, expandable via an external memory card slot. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU running at 950 MHz with a turbo of 2133 MHz and 32 shading units, supporting DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. In Geekbench 6, the chipset scores 1979 in multi-core and 729 in single-core, and the SoC also includes integrated LTE and TrustZone security. The device runs Android 13 and supports up to two simultaneous external displays.
The Fossibot DT2 has a 64MP rear camera with a CMOS sensor, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, HDR mode, and manual controls for ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30fps, with no support for slow-motion, timelapse, HDR10 recording, or Dolby Vision recording. Flash is provided by two dual-tone LED units, and a video light is also present, though optical image stabilization, optical zoom, burst mode, and manual shutter speed are not available. On the front, a 32MP camera with an f/2 aperture handles video calls and self-portraits, though it does not have a dedicated LED flash.
The Fossibot DT2 includes stereo speakers for built-in audio output, but does not have a 3.5mm headset jack or a radio. None of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC, which limits wireless audio quality to standard Bluetooth transmission.
The Fossibot DT2 is equipped with a 22000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports fast charging, providing substantial capacity for extended use between charges. A battery level indicator is included to monitor remaining charge at a glance. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.
The Fossibot DT2 supports Wi-Fi 6 along with backward-compatible Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4, and connects via Bluetooth 5 and a USB Type-C port running on USB 2.0. It has a cellular module with dual SIM support and integrated LTE, reaching download speeds of up to 650 Mbits/s and upload speeds of 150 Mbits/s, though 5G is not supported. Location is covered by GPS and Galileo, and onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. NFC, HDMI output, Ethernet, a fingerprint scanner, 3D facial recognition, iris scanning, an infrared sensor, and a built-in projector are all absent. On the software side, the tablet supports split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, extra dim mode, a media picker, full-page screenshots, customizable notifications, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, multi-user mode, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking. Privacy controls cover clipboard warnings, location options, camera and microphone access management, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, battery health check, app offloading, and Quick Start are not available.
The Fossibot DT2 uses DDR4 memory.
