The Fresh 'n Rebel Clam Ace uses an over-ear fit with a closed-back design and stereo speakers, delivering a standard full-ear listening experience. It is foldable, making it easier to pack away when not in use, though no travel bag is included. The headphone carries no water resistance rating and is not designed for children. No travel accessories are bundled in the box.
The Clam Ace is equipped with both active noise cancellation (ANC) and passive noise reduction, giving it two layers of sound isolation to cut down on environmental noise. It does not support spatial audio, nor does it use a neodymium magnet in its driver configuration.
The Clam Ace houses a built-in rechargeable battery that is not removable, offering up to 60 hours of playback in standard mode and 50 hours when ANC is active. A full charge takes 2 hours via USB Type-C, and a battery level indicator lets users keep track of remaining power at a glance. Wireless charging and solar charging are not supported.
The Clam Ace connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 meters. It does not support any advanced audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, AAC, LDAC, or LDHC, nor does it offer Bluetooth LE Audio or Auracast. Fast pairing and NFC pairing are also absent, meaning the headphone relies on standard Bluetooth pairing only.
The Clam Ace includes a set of four microphones configured for noise-canceling performance, and it can function as a headset for calls. It supports multipoint connectivity for up to two devices at once and features an on-ear detection system that automatically pauses playback when the headphones are removed. An ambient sound mode lets environmental audio through when needed, and onboard controls are built directly into the earcup. There is no dedicated mute function available.
