The Geekom A5 follows a Micro-ATX form factor with compact dimensions of 117 mm wide, 112 mm thick, and 49.2 mm tall, resulting in a total volume of approximately 644.72 cm³ and a weight of just 652 grams. Storage is handled by a 512GB NVMe SSD, offering faster read and write performance compared to standard SATA drives thanks to the NVMe interface.
The processor runs six cores at a base speed of 2.3GHz each, with a turbo clock speed reaching up to 4.3GHz, and supports multithreading for a total of 12 threads. It carries a TDP of 15W and a maximum rated temperature of 95°C, with a fixed clock multiplier of 23 and no unlocked multiplier. Cache memory is organized across three levels — 384KB of L1, 3MB of L2 at 0.5MB per core, and 16MB of L3 at 2.67MB per core — while the chip also includes integrated graphics and full 64-bit support.
The integrated graphics unit reaches a turbo frequency of 1800 MHz and is built on a 7nm semiconductor process, connecting to the system via PCIe 3. It supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 2.2, covering a solid range of graphics and compute workloads.
The Geekom A5 comes equipped with 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3200 MHz, providing a balanced combination of capacity and memory bandwidth suitable for everyday multitasking and general workloads.
Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) alongside backward-compatible Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4 standards, paired with Bluetooth 5.3 for peripheral connections. On the wired side, the unit provides three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, and one USB 2.0 Type-A port, while Thunderbolt 3 and 4, USB 4, and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 are not included. Display output is handled by two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort, with no VGA connector present. A single RJ45 Ethernet port covers wired networking, a 3.5mm audio jack is available for headset use, and there is no S/PDIF output.
In PassMark testing, the Geekom A5 achieves a multi-thread score of 15,601 alongside a single-thread score of 2,948, reflecting the processor's overall throughput across both parallel and sequential workloads.
The system is rated for both desktop and laptop CPU configurations and uses AMD Radeon Graphics with 7 execution units. Memory support extends to a maximum of 64GB across two channels, with a peak RAM speed of 4267 MHz, and the platform supports ECC memory for added data reliability. The processor does not use big.LITTLE technology but includes NX bit support and a broad set of instruction sets covering MMX, F16C, FMA3, AES, AVX, AVX2, SSE 4.1, and SSE 4.2. The unit comes with a one-year warranty.
