The Gigabyte B650 Eagle is built around the AM5 socket and is compatible with the B650 chipset, presented in a standard ATX form factor measuring 305 mm wide and 244 mm tall with a single CPU socket. It supports overclocking and includes RGB lighting, though it lacks Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual BIOS, and an easy CMOS reset button. The board does not feature integrated graphics or an integrated CPU, and its HDMI output runs at version 2.1. A three-year warranty is included.
This board uses DDR5 memory and provides four slots arranged in a dual-channel configuration, supporting a maximum capacity of 192 GB. Standard RAM speeds top out at 5200 MHz, while overclocking can push that figure up to 7600 MHz. ECC memory is not supported.
The rear panel offers a reasonable spread of USB connectivity, including two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and six USB 2.0 ports; there are no USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, USB 4, Thunderbolt, or eSATA ports. Display output is handled by one HDMI port and one DisplayPort output, while VGA and DVI are absent. Networking is covered by a single RJ45 port, and legacy connectivity is represented by one PS/2 port.
Storage connectivity is well covered with three M.2 sockets and four SATA 3 connectors on board; there are no SATA 2, U.2, or mSATA options. For internal USB expansion, the board provides headers for two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and six USB 2.0 ports, alongside two additional USB 3.0 expansion ports. Cooling is managed through five fan headers, and a TPM connector is also present for security module use.
The board's expansion layout centers on one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for the primary graphics card, complemented by three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots for additional cards. There are no PCIe 5.0 x16, PCIe 2.0 x16, PCIe x8, PCIe x4, PCIe x1, or legacy PCI slots available.
Audio support extends to 7.1 channels, with three analog audio connectors available on the rear panel. There is no S/PDIF output port.
The board supports RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 10 configurations for flexible storage setup across multiple drives. RAID 5 and RAID 0+1 are not supported.
