The Grooves Metal use an in-ear fit and are built as true wireless earbuds, meaning there are no cables or wires connecting them. They carry an IPX6 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant and suitable for use during physical activity. The earbuds do not include wingtips or a neckband, and they deliver stereo sound through built-in stereo speakers.
The Grooves Metal rely on a 12 mm driver unit to reproduce audio across a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with a sound pressure level of 103 dB/mW. They offer passive noise reduction to help block out ambient sound, though they do not include active noise cancellation. The earbuds also do not use a neodymium magnet in their driver configuration.
The Grooves Metal offer 6 hours of battery life per charge, with the included charging case holding an additional 34 hours of playback thanks to its 300mAh capacity. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and the earbuds feature a battery level indicator so users can keep track of remaining power. The battery is rechargeable, though wireless charging is not supported.
The Grooves Metal connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5 with a maximum range of 10 meters, and charging is handled through a USB Type-C port. The earbuds do not support fast pairing or NFC pairing, and no advanced audio codecs are present — AAC, LDAC, LDHC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice are all absent from the feature set.
The Grooves Metal support fast charging and can function as a headset, with a mute function available during calls. Controls are handled through a panel placed on the device itself rather than an in-line control, and voice prompts provide audio feedback during use. A travel bag is included in the box for portability. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for auto-pausing music, a find-device feature, or a body temperature sensor.
The Grooves Metal are equipped with 4 microphones and include noise-canceling microphone technology to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice use.
