The H2O Audio Tri 2 uses an open-ear fit and a neckband form factor, with wingtips included to help keep the earbuds in place during use. It carries an IPX8 waterproof rating with a depth tolerance of 3.6 meters, making it fully waterproof rather than merely splash-resistant. The earbuds feature stereo speakers and have no display, RGB lighting, or UV light.
The H2O Audio Tri 2 covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20000 Hz, spanning the full standard range of human hearing. It does not include active noise cancellation or passive noise isolation, meaning it makes no attempt to block out ambient sound — which aligns with its open-ear design. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, and neodymium magnet drivers are also absent from this model.
The H2O Audio Tri 2 is equipped with a rechargeable battery rated at 9 hours of playback, with a full charge taking approximately 2 hours. A battery level indicator is included so users can monitor remaining charge. Wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The H2O Audio Tri 2 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 meters. It does not support fast pairing or NFC pairing, and codec support is limited — AAC, LDAC, LDHC, aptX in all its variants (including aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice), as well as Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast, are all absent from this model.
The H2O Audio Tri 2 supports fast charging and includes 8GB of internal storage, making it capable of holding audio files directly on the device. It can function as a headset for calls, features a mute function, delivers voice prompts, and is controlled via a panel placed on the device itself rather than an in-line remote. Ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, notification readout, a find-device feature, a body temperature sensor, and a built-in camera remote are not included, and no travel bag is bundled in the box.
The H2O Audio Tri 2 is fitted with a noise-canceling microphone, which helps reduce background noise during calls or voice communication.
