The Haylou W1 ANC uses a true wireless, in-ear design with no cables or neckband, and wingtips are not included. It features stereo speakers and carries an IPX4 ingress protection rating, offering resistance to splashing water from any direction, though it does not provide a higher level of water resistance beyond that.
The Haylou W1 ANC combines active noise cancellation with passive noise reduction, giving it two distinct approaches to minimizing unwanted ambient sound. Audio is handled by a 10 mm driver unit with a frequency response spanning 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, covering the full range of human hearing. The earbuds do not use a neodymium magnet in their driver construction.
Each earbud carries a 32 mAh rechargeable battery delivering up to 6.5 hours of playback, which drops to 4.5 hours when ANC is active, while the 450 mAh charging case extends the total to 28.5 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator is on hand to keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging is not supported.
The Haylou W1 ANC connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 65 ms. Charging is handled through a USB Type-C port, though wireless charging is not available. The earbuds do not support fast pairing, NFC pairing, AAC, LDAC, LDHC, or any variant of the aptX codec family, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice.
The Haylou W1 ANC includes ambient sound mode and a mute function, and it can be used as a headset for calls. Controls are handled through a panel on the earbuds themselves rather than an in-line remote, and voice prompts are present to assist with navigation. Fast charging is supported, and the earbuds connect to one device at a time with no multipoint support beyond that. A travel bag is included in the box, while in/on-ear detection, a find device feature, and a body temperature sensor are all absent.
The Haylou W1 ANC is equipped with a total of 6 microphones, and the microphone setup includes noise-canceling capability to help reduce background sound during calls and voice input.
