The Hisense PL2 uses a laser light source rated for up to 25,000 hours in eco mode, drawing 300W during operation. It measures 530 x 340 x 120 mm and weighs 8,500 g, with a total volume of 21,624 cm³, making it a reasonably compact unit for a laser projector. A dedicated smartphone app is available for device control, and the projector comes with a 2-year warranty.
The Hisense PL2 projects at 4K resolution with 2700 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, supporting a maximum image size of 150″ from a minimum throw distance of just 0.4 m. It operates at a 240Hz refresh rate with a 30 ms response time and renders images at 10-bit depth. HDR compatibility covers Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, though HDR10+ is not supported. Focus is handled exclusively via motorized adjustment — manual focus is not available — and 3D content can be displayed using glasses.
The Hisense PL2 offers a well-rounded connectivity setup, including two HDMI ports, two USB ports, and one RJ45 ethernet port for wired connections. On the wireless side, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 4, along with Bluetooth, AirPlay, Chromecast built-in, and Miracast, covering a broad range of streaming and casting options. VGA, DVI, and S/PDIF outputs are absent, and the unit is not DLNA-certified.
The Hisense PL2 includes built-in smart TV functionality alongside voice commands and a remote control for day-to-day operation. Audio is handled by a single built-in speaker rated at 30W with Dolby Atmos support, though stereo speakers are not present; a 3.5 mm headphone jack is available for private listening. Lens shift — both vertical and horizontal — is not supported, and there is no external memory slot on the unit.
