Honor 90 GT

The Honor 90 GT has a conventional, non-folding form factor measuring 161 mm in height, 74.2 mm in width, and 7.9 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 94.37 cm³ and a weight of 185 g. It does not carry any water resistance rating and has no rugged build designation, making it suited to standard indoor and sheltered everyday use rather than demanding or wet environments.

The Honor 90 GT features a 6.7″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a 1200 x 2664 px resolution and a pixel density of 436 ppi, producing a sharp and detailed image across the panel. A 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth on-screen motion during scrolling and general use. The screen does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision. An Always-On Display mode and a secondary screen are also absent.

The Honor 90 GT is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a 4 nm octa-core chipset configured at 1 x 3.2 GHz, 4 x 2.8 GHz, and 3 x 2 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.36 GHz, using big.LITTLE architecture for efficient workload distribution across 8 threads. It scores 2027 in Geekbench 6 single-core and 1084 in 3DMark Steel Nomad, with a TDP of 6.3W. Graphics are handled by the integrated Adreno 740 GPU running at 970 MHz with 768 shading units, 3 execution units, DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support. The chipset is paired with 24 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 4200 MHz and a maximum memory bandwidth of 64 GB/s, alongside 1 TB of internal storage. Cache is structured at 1 MB L2 and 8 MB L3, and the platform supports TrustZone security, multithreading, integrated LTE, and 64-bit operation, with a maximum supported memory ceiling of 16 GB.

The Honor 90 GT uses a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50 MP main sensor at f/2.2 and a 12 MP secondary lens at f/2, both using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Optical image stabilization is built in, and autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus, with continuous autofocus active during video recording; laser autofocus is not present. Video capture reaches 4K at 30 fps, with slow-motion recording also supported, while a single standard LED flash handles low-light situations — dual-tone and RGB variants are not included. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed and RAW capture are not available. Shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse, while 360-degree panorama and 3D recording are absent. The front camera is a single-lens 16 MP unit at f/2.4, positioned conventionally without an under-display placement and without a dedicated flash.

The Honor 90 GT runs Android 13, an open-source platform with multi-user support, offline voice recognition, voice commands, on-device machine learning, and phone tracking. Privacy controls include clipboard warnings, location access management, and camera and microphone permission options, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. Interface customization covers dynamic theming, theme customization, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, a battery health check, and Quick Start are all absent. Day-to-day usability benefits from split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, text selection from images, sharing intents, customizable notifications with granular permission controls, widgets, and a child lock, along with the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided, and the device cannot function as a PC.

The Honor 90 GT houses a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery with support for 100W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for quick charge monitoring. The battery is sealed and non-removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Honor 90 GT features stereo speakers for dual-channel audio output, and supports aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio transmission. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is not included, so wired listening requires an adapter or wireless headphones. FM radio is absent, and the remaining advanced Bluetooth codecs — aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC — are not supported.

The Honor 90 GT supports 5G connectivity with dual SIM operation, Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6, alongside Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC, covering a broad and current set of wireless standards. Maximum download and upload speeds reach 10,000 Mbit/s and 3,000 Mbit/s respectively. Wired connections go through a USB Type-C port at USB 2.0 speeds, and there is no external memory slot. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric security, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. The sensor suite covers a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and infrared sensor, along with GPS and Galileo for navigation, though a barometer, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ support are absent. The device does not feature HDMI output, DLNA certification, motion or optical tracking, a built-in projector, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, or a stylus.

The Honor 90 GT includes a video light that can serve as a torch during recording. The display is flat with no curved edges, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel are part of the design.
