The Honor Band 9 features a 1.57″ AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 256 x 402 px and a pixel density of 302 ppi, refreshing at 60Hz and supporting an Always-On Display mode. The screen does not use sapphire or branded damage-resistant glass. Its physical dimensions come in at 43 mm tall, 27.88 mm wide, and 9.49 mm thick, with a total weight of just 16.3 g. The watch band is replaceable, and the device carries a 5 ATM water resistance rating with a waterproof depth of 50 m.
The Honor Band 9 includes a heart rate monitor and a pulse oximeter for continuous cardiovascular and blood oxygenation tracking, alongside a gyroscope and accelerometer to capture motion and orientation data. The device does not have built-in GPS.
The Honor Band 9 offers a thorough set of activity tracking capabilities, including automatic activity detection, multi-sport mode, step counting, distance tracking, pace measurement, elevation tracking, and a route tracker. It also features sleep tracking with detailed sleep reports, and extends its sports coverage to swimming with a built-in stroke counter.
The Honor Band 9 connects via Bluetooth 5.3 and includes NFC support, with full compatibility across both Android and iOS devices. It does not support the Galileo satellite navigation system.
The Honor Band 9 is equipped with a rechargeable battery rated for up to 14 days of use on a single charge. The battery is not removable.
The Honor Band 9 covers a broad range of everyday features, including VO2 max estimation, resting heart rate measurement, and fast/slow heart rate notifications. For convenience, it supports wrist notifications, call control, vibrating alerts, a silent alarm, a stopwatch, a phone finder, and a built-in camera remote shutter. The device does not include a smart alarm, auto pause, passcode protection, or compatibility with external heart rate monitors, and it is not available on PC. It carries 0.004 GB of RAM.
The companion app for the Honor Band 9 is free and ad-free, offering calorie burn tracking, activity reports, inactivity alerts, goal setting, achievements, an exercise diary, weight tracking, music playback, widgets, app personalisation, and period notifications. An account is required to use the app, and it does not support temperature tracking, route planning, email export, calendar sync, or coaching features.
The Honor Band 9 is rated as waterproof and includes a battery level indicator for at-a-glance charge monitoring. It is not compatible with Windows or Mac OS X.
