Honor Magic 6 Ultimate

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate has a standard, non-folding and non-rugged form factor, measuring 162.5 mm in height, 75.8 mm in width, and 8.9 mm in thickness, with a total volume of approximately 109.63 cm³ and a weight of 227 g. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, certifying it as fully waterproof and capable of withstanding submersion, making it one of the more resilient builds available in a non-rugged smartphone design.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate features a 6.8″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a 1280 x 2800 px resolution and a pixel density of 453 ppi, protected by Gorilla Armor glass. It runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 360Hz touch sampling rate and supports an Always-On Display mode. On the HDR side, the screen is compatible with HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, covering a broad range of high dynamic range content formats. There is no secondary screen.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 4 nm octa-core SoC with a complex CPU configuration of 1 x 3.3 GHz, 3 x 3.15 GHz, 2 x 2.96 GHz, and 2 x 2.26 GHz across 8 threads, using big.LITTLE and HMP scheduling within a 12.5W TDP envelope. It is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz across 2 memory channels with a maximum bandwidth of 76.6 GB/s, 1 TB of internal storage, and a maximum supported memory of 24 GB. The integrated Adreno 750 GPU operates at 900 MHz with 3 execution units and supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2, and OpenVG 1.2, driving a single display. Additional chip features include integrated LTE, TrustZone security, 64-bit support, multithreading, 1 MB of L2 cache, and 12 MB of L3 cache. In benchmarks, the device achieves an AnTuTu score of 2,069,877, a Geekbench 6 single-core result of 2,213, and a Geekbench 6 multi-core result of 7,325.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate features a triple rear camera system with a 180 MP main sensor at f/2.6, a 50 MP lens at f/1.4, and a second 50 MP lens at f/2, all supported by optical image stabilization and a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus is handled through phase-detection and touch autofocus for stills, with continuous autofocus available during video recording, while laser autofocus is absent. The system offers 2.5x optical zoom and can record video at up to 4K at 60 fps with HDR10 recording support, alongside slow-motion capture. The dual-LED flash does not feature a dual-tone or RGB configuration. Manual controls extend to exposure, ISO, focus, white balance, and shutter speed, with shooting modes covering HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse, though RAW capture and 360° panorama are not supported. The front camera is a single 50 MP lens at f/2, positioned above the display without an under-screen placement, and has no front-facing flash.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate runs Android 14 and includes a well-rounded set of privacy tools covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access controls, along with the ability to block app tracking; however, Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. Customization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes are absent. On the productivity side, the software supports split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download, though app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are not present. The system also provides on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device position tracking, multi-user support, a battery health check, a child lock, and an extra dim mode, and is noted as free and open source. Direct OS vendor updates are not provided, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate houses a non-removable 5600 mAh rechargeable battery with a built-in level indicator. It supports 80W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging, with the charger included in the box. The device can also share power with other compatible devices via reverse wireless charging at 5W.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate features stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, it supports aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC, covering a solid range of high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs, though aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless are not available.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate supports 5G and covers Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), with maximum download and upload speeds of 10,000 MBits/s and 3,500 MBits/s respectively. It accommodates two physical SIM cards and two eSIMs, connects via USB Type-C at USB 3.2, and includes NFC and Bluetooth 5.3, though there is no external memory slot. Security and biometrics are handled through a fingerprint scanner and 3D facial recognition, while an iris scanner is absent. Navigation is supported by GPS with Galileo, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, with no barometer present. The device also features an infrared sensor for remote control functionality, while satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, DLNA certification, ANT+, HDMI output, a heart rate monitor, motion and optical tracking, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all not available.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate features a curved display and includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions. The screen does not use sapphire glass, and there is no e-paper display present.
