The Honor TiinLab adopt an open-ear fit, keeping the ear canal unobstructed for a more natural listening experience, and wingtips are included to help keep the earbuds securely in place. They are fully true wireless with no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds, and stereo speakers are present for two-channel audio output. For protection against moisture, the earbuds carry an IP54 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant and suitable for use during physical activity.
The Honor TiinLab use a 13.6 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range spanning from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Neither active noise cancellation nor passive noise reduction is present, which is consistent with the open-ear design. The drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
The Honor TiinLab earbuds house a 60 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 10 hours of playback, while the accompanying charging case adds a further 30 hours of total battery availability thanks to its 600 mAh capacity. A battery level indicator is on board so users can keep track of remaining charge at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported, meaning the case is replenished via a wired connection.
The Honor TiinLab connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 m, and AAC is the supported audio codec. None of the aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice — are available, and LDAC and LDHC are likewise absent. Fast pairing and NFC-based pairing are not supported. The charging case uses a USB Type-C connection for wired charging.
The Honor TiinLab support fast charging and include a find device feature to help locate misplaced earbuds, along with a mute function and voice prompts for convenient hands-free feedback. They can be used as a headset for calls, and controls are handled through a device-side control panel rather than an in-line control panel on a cable. A travel bag is included in the box for portability. Ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, and a body temperature sensor are not part of the feature set.
The Honor TiinLab feature a total of four microphones, and noise-canceling microphone technology is included to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice interaction.
