The device is not foldable, maintaining a fixed form factor that measures 174.6 mm tall, 82.3 mm wide, and 18.2 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 261.53 cm³. At 397 g, it sits on the heavier end of the smartphone spectrum, which is typical for handsets built to ruggedized standards.

The Hotwav Hyper 7 Pro 5G uses a 6.6″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a 1080 x 2408 px resolution and a pixel density of 400 ppi, producing a sharp and detailed image across the panel. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother motion during scrolling and on-screen interactions, and achieves a contrast ratio of 1500:1. Gorilla Glass 3 covers the screen for added resistance against scratches and minor impacts. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or an Always-On Display mode. Additionally, the device includes a secondary screen with a resolution of 172 x 320 px.

The SoC includes integrated LTE, a TrustZone security module, and an NX bit for memory protection. Graphics are handled by the Mali G68 MP4 with 4 execution units, 64 shading units, a base clock of 950 MHz, and a turbo frequency of 900 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0. The device comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 3200 MHz across 4 memory channels, and 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded by up to 2TB via external memory. On the customization side, the OS includes dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and app offloading are not available. Everyday usability is bolstered by features such as split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Battery health monitoring and an extra dim display mode are also present. Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.
