The Huawei Pura 70 has a non-folding, standard-form design measuring 157.6 mm in height, 74.3 mm in width, and 8 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 93.67744 cm³ and a weight of 207 g. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, classifying it as waterproof against dust and water immersion. The device does not feature a rugged build, so its water resistance is provided solely through the IP68 certification rather than any reinforced or hardened construction.

The Huawei Pura 70 features a 6.6″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels and a pixel density of 460 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed visual output. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 300Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring responsive interaction, and reaches a typical brightness of 2500 nits. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. The panel also lacks branded damage-resistant glass.

The Huawei Pura 70 is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 9010 chipset, built on a 7 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 1 x 2.3, 4 x 2.18, and 3 x 1.55 GHz with a turbo clock of 3.3GHz, and a thermal design power of 6W. It uses big.LITTLE technology, supports 64-bit processing, and integrates LTE directly on the SoC alongside a Mali-G57 GPU with integrated graphics, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support. The device comes with 12GB of RAM at 2750 MHz and 1024GB of internal storage, offering a maximum memory bandwidth of 44 GB/s, while cache is organized across 64 KB L1, 0.512 MB L2, and 4 MB L3 with per-core allocations of 0.256 MB and 2 MB respectively. Security is handled through TrustZone, though ECC memory is not supported, and the AnTuTu benchmark score is recorded at 768,000.

The Huawei Pura 70 features a triple-lens rear camera system with sensors at 50MP, 12MP, and 13MP and corresponding apertures of f/1.4, f/3.4, and f/2.2, backed by optical image stabilization and 5x optical zoom. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination, and supports both laser and phase-detection autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, and touch autofocus. Video recording reaches up to 2160p at 30fps, with slow-motion recording available, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Still photography options are extensive, covering RAW capture, HDR mode, panorama, timelapse, burst mode, and full manual controls for exposure, ISO, shutter speed, focus, and white balance. A single LED flash is fitted at the rear — not dual-tone or RGB — while the front camera offers a 13MP single-lens setup at f/2.4 without a front-facing flash, under-display placement, or a secondary lens. 360-degree panorama and 3D photo or video recording are not available.

The Huawei Pura 70 offers a well-rounded set of software and system features, including dark mode, customizable notifications, widgets, voice commands, sharing intents, and support for split-screen multitasking. It accommodates multiple user accounts and includes a child lock for access control, along with camera and microphone privacy options for managing app permissions. The device also provides battery health monitoring and mobile tracking to locate the device. However, it does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor and cannot be used as a PC substitute.

The Huawei Pura 70 is equipped with a built-in, non-removable rechargeable battery rated at 4900 mAh, with a battery level indicator included. It supports wired fast charging at 66W and wireless charging at 50W, with a charger included in the box. The device also features reverse wireless charging at 7.5W, allowing it to share power with other compatible devices wirelessly.

The Huawei Pura 70 includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack, requiring wireless or USB-C audio solutions for wired listening. On the wireless audio side, it does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC codecs. There is also no built-in radio receiver.

The Huawei Pura 70 supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside dual SIM capability, and connects wirelessly via Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11n/ac/ax), Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. Wired connectivity is handled through a USB Type-C port running USB 3.1, though there is no HDMI output. For location and navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, while a barometer is not present. Security options include a fingerprint scanner, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. There is no external memory slot, no ANT+ support, no heart rate monitor, no infrared sensor, no crash detection, no satellite SOS, no built-in projector, and the device is not DLNA-certified. Motion tracking and optical tracking are also not featured, and no stylus is included.

The Huawei Pura 70 includes a video light to assist with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it does not use sapphire glass or an e-paper panel.
