Huawei Pura 70 Pro

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro has a non-folding, non-rugged build measuring 162.6 mm tall, 75.1 mm wide, and 8.4 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 102.57 cm³ and a weight of 220 g. It carries an IP68 Ingress Protection rating, classifying it as waterproof under the conditions that rating defines. The device has a lowest potential operating temperature of 0 °C and does not feature a ruggedized construction.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro features a 6.8″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1260 x 2844 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image across its large panel. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate alongside a 300Hz touch sampling rate, enabling responsive on-screen interaction. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and it lacks Always-On Display functionality, branded damage-resistant glass, and a secondary screen.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro is driven by the HiSilicon Kirin 9010 chipset, built on a 7 nm process with a CPU configuration of 1 x 2.3, 4 x 2.18, and 3 x 1.55 GHz cores, reaching a turbo clock speed of 3.3GHz, and a thermal design power of 6W. The SoC employs big.LITTLE technology, supports 64-bit processing, and integrates both LTE and a Mali-G57 GPU with DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support. The device comes with 12GB of RAM running at 2750 MHz and 1024GB of internal storage, backed by a maximum memory bandwidth of 44 GB/s, an L1 cache of 64 KB, an L2 cache of 0.512 MB (0.256 MB/core), and an L3 cache of 4 MB (2 MB/core). TrustZone security is supported, while ECC memory is not.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro features a multi-lens rear camera system with three sensors rated at 50, 48, and 12.5 MP, with corresponding maximum apertures of f/1.4, f/2.1, and f/2.2, supported by optical image stabilization and 3.5x optical zoom. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination and includes a single LED flash, though dual-tone and RGB flash variants are absent. Autofocus options cover laser, phase-detection, touch, and continuous autofocus during video, while manual controls extend to exposure, ISO, shutter speed, focus, and white balance, with RAW shooting also available. Video recording reaches 2160p at 30 fps with slow-motion support, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. Additional shooting modes include burst, timelapse, in-camera panorama, and HDR, while 360° panorama and 3D capture are not supported. The 13 MP single-lens front camera sits at f/2.4 and has no front-facing flash or under-display placement.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro includes a range of software-level features covering both usability and privacy. It supports multi-user access, split-screen multitasking, widgets, voice commands, sharing intents, and customizable notifications, giving users a degree of flexibility in how they interact with the device day to day. On the privacy and safety side, it offers camera and microphone access controls, a child lock, device tracking, and a battery health check tool. Dark mode is also available. The device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor and cannot be used as a PC.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro houses a 5050 mAh rechargeable battery that is not removable, and a battery level indicator is included. It supports 100W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging is available at up to 80W, and the device also supports reverse wireless charging at 20W, allowing it to share power with other compatible devices.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and does not feature a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the Qualcomm aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless — are supported, and LDAC is likewise absent.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, while wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are both present, and the device connects via USB Type-C with USB 3.1, though there is no HDMI output and no external memory slot. Security and biometrics are handled through a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. Sensors on board include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and infrared sensor, whereas a barometer, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Location support covers GPS and Galileo. Notably, the device includes emergency SOS via satellite, though crash detection is not available. ANT+, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are also not featured.

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. Its display is flat rather than curved, and it does not use sapphire glass or an e-paper panel.
