The device weighs 189 g, placing it in a fairly typical range for a smartphone of this screen size.

The Infinix Smart 8 (India) features a 6.6″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 267 ppi, delivering a reasonably sharp image for everyday use. The panel supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion during scrolling and light gaming. However, the display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen present on this device.

Graphics are handled by the integrated PowerVR GE8320 GPU, clocked at 650 MHz with a turbo mode reaching 680 MHz, and supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 1.2. The SoC includes integrated LTE, supports 64-bit processing, multithreading, NX bit, and ARM TrustZone. In benchmarks, the device scores 210,000 on AnTuTu, 229 and 842 on Geekbench 6 single- and multi-core tests respectively, and achieves a PCMark Work 3.0 performance score of 5,352 with a battery endurance result of 857 minutes.

The Infinix Smart 8 (India) features a dual-lens rear camera system led by a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, accompanied by a 0.08 MP secondary lens; the system uses a CMOS sensor but does not include a back-illuminated sensor or optical image stabilization. Autofocus options cover phase-detection and touch autofocus for stills as well as continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. Video recording is supported at up to 1080p at 30 fps, with slow-motion recording also available, while 360° panorama and RAW shooting are not supported. The rear camera offers a broad set of manual controls including exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, and also supports HDR mode, burst mode, in-camera panorama, and timelapse; a single LED flash is present, with no dual-tone or RGB flash. On the front, there is a single 8 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture — it is a standard single-lens setup, not positioned under the display, and has no front-facing flash.

The Infinix Smart 8 (India) runs on Android 13, an open-source platform that supports multi-user access, voice commands, offline voice recognition, on-device machine learning, and device position tracking. On the privacy side, it includes clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. The software experience is fairly well-rounded, offering dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, a media picker, widgets, sharing intents, and a child lock. Productivity-oriented features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text selection, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. However, the device does not support focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, battery health checks, Quick Start, or the ability to function as a PC, and it does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Infinix Smart 8 (India) is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that includes a battery level indicator. It supports fast charging at 10W, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Infinix Smart 8 (India) includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack, meaning wired audio requires an adapter or Bluetooth connection. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced codecs are supported — there is no aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC. The device also does not feature a built-in radio.
