Infinix Zero 40 5G

The Infinix Zero 40 5G uses a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels at 393 ppi, delivering sharp and vibrant visuals. It runs at a 144Hz refresh rate with a 360Hz touch sampling rate for responsive interaction, and the panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The display supports both HDR10 and HDR10+, and features an Always-On Display mode, though it does not support Dolby Vision and there is no secondary screen.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 chipset, built on a 4nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 1 x 3.1, 3 x 3, and 4 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies, alongside a Mali G610 MP6 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with DirectX 12 and OpenCL 2 support. The SoC scores around 890,000 on AnTuTu, 3891 multi-core and 1224 single-core on Geekbench 6, and 3889 multi-core and 998 single-core on Geekbench 5. Additional features include integrated LTE, integrated graphics, a 4MB L3 cache, a 6W TDP, NX bit, TrustZone security, and full 64-bit support.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G features a triple rear camera system with sensors at 108MP, 50MP, and 2MP, paired with apertures of f/1.8, f/2, and f/2.4 respectively, and backed by optical image stabilization and a CMOS sensor, though it does not include a back-illuminated sensor or laser autofocus. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 60fps along with slow-motion capture, continuous autofocus during video, and phase-detection autofocus for stills, while manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance — though manual shutter speed is not available. Additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse, and the rear setup has three flash LEDs, though there is no optical zoom, no RGB flash, and no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support. The Infinix Zero 40 5G is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery with a rated battery life of 14 hours and a built-in battery level indicator. It supports 45W wired fast charging as well as 20W wireless charging, and a charger is included in the box. Reverse wireless charging is not available, and the battery is non-removable.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G features stereo speakers and includes a built-in radio, but does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the wireless audio side, it lacks support for aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC, meaning high-resolution and advanced Bluetooth audio codecs are not available on this device.

Crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, DLNA certification, and a stylus are also not featured.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G features a curved display and includes a video light, adding some utility for recording in low-light conditions. It does not have a sapphire glass display, nor does it incorporate an e-paper screen.
