Infinix Zero Flip

The Infinix Zero Flip features a foldable design with a height of 170.4 mm, a width of 73.4 mm, and a thickness of 7.6 mm, giving it a total volume of approximately 95.06 cm³. It weighs 195 g, which is a reasonable figure for a folding handset of this type. The device does not carry a rugged build rating and offers no water resistance, so it lacks protection against moisture or harsh environmental conditions.

The Infinix Zero Flip uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.9″ with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 px and a pixel density of 413 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 360Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input, and it achieves a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. A secondary screen is also present, offering a resolution of 1056 x 1066 px for use when the device is folded. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.

The Infinix Zero Flip is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an octa-core CPU running at 4 x 2.6 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz across 8 threads, supported by big.LITTLE and HMP technologies for efficient workload distribution. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 4267 MHz and 512 GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory of 16 GB. Graphics are handled by the Mali G77 MP9 GPU running at 850 MHz, with support for DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset also integrates LTE and includes TrustZone and NX bit for hardware-level security, and the system supports 64-bit processing throughout. In benchmark testing, the device scores 3681 in Geekbench 6 multi-core and 1122 in single-core, 14415 in PCMark Work 3.0 performance with a battery endurance result of 578 minutes, and 434 in 3DMark Steel Nomad.

The Infinix Zero Flip features a dual 50 MP rear camera system with a CMOS sensor and optical image stabilization, capable of recording video at up to 2160p at 60 fps, though it does not support optical zoom, HDR10 recording, or Dolby Vision recording. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for photos as well as continuous autofocus during video, while laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls cover ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. The rear camera is backed by a dual-tone LED flash with four LEDs in total, and shooting modes include burst, panorama, slow-motion video, timelapse, and HDR. On the front, a single 50 MP camera handles selfies without a front-facing flash, a secondary lens, or an under-display placement, and the system does not offer 360° panorama or 3D photo and video capture.

The Infinix Zero Flip runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering location access, camera and microphone permissions, clipboard warnings, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the customization side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, customizable notifications, widgets, and a media picker, while focus modes and app offloading are not available. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The system also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, multi-user accounts, a child lock, battery health checking, an extra dim mode, and device position tracking. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided, Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are absent, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Infinix Zero Flip is equipped with a 4720 mAh rechargeable battery that supports wired fast charging at 70W, allowing for relatively quick top-ups. A battery level indicator is present, keeping the user informed of remaining charge at a glance. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Infinix Zero Flip includes stereo speakers for audio output but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so wired headphones would require an adapter. There is no built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, the device does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, meaning high-resolution and enhanced Bluetooth audio codec options are unavailable.

The Infinix Zero Flip supports 5G connectivity with a dual SIM configuration and a maximum download speed of 4700 MBits/s. Wi-Fi coverage spans Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), while Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are also on board. The device uses USB Type-C for wired connectivity but lacks HDMI output and an external memory slot. For positioning, it includes GPS with Galileo support, alongside a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass, though a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Biometric security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not available. Safety-oriented features such as emergency SOS via satellite and crash detection are not present, and the device does not include ANT+ support, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, or a stylus.

The Infinix Zero Flip includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved and is not made of sapphire glass, nor does the device feature an e-paper screen.
