Itel A50C

The Itel A50C has a conventional, non-folding design without any rugged build features or water resistance. It stands 163.9 mm tall and 75.7 mm wide, with a thickness of 9.4 mm, resulting in a total volume of approximately 116.63 cm³. The device weighs 192.6 g, placing it on the heavier side for a standard candy-bar smartphone in this size class.

The Itel A50C uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.56 inches, delivering a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels at a pixel density of 269 ppi. The panel operates at a standard 60Hz refresh rate and does not include an Always-On Display mode, a secondary screen, or branded damage-resistant glass. Advanced display standards such as HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision are also not supported.

The Itel A50C is driven by the Unisoc Tiger T603 system-on-chip, an octa-core processor built on a 12 nm process that uses big.LITTLE technology with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing, clocked at 2 x 1.8 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz across 12 threads, with a TDP of 9W. It comes with 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 1600 MHz — expandable up to 8 GB — alongside 32 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali-G57 MP1 GPU running at 650 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0, with the SoC also featuring integrated LTE, TrustZone security, and a 64-bit architecture. Cache memory consists of 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3, and the device recorded an AnTuTu benchmark score of 239,545.

The Itel A50C features a single-lens 8 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though optical image stabilization and laser autofocus are absent. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with slow-motion recording also available, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, and shooting modes cover burst, panorama, and HDR, though RAW capture and 360-degree panorama are not available. A single LED flash is fitted at the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash option. The 5 MP front camera also carries an f/2.0 aperture and sits in a standard position — not under the display — with no accompanying flash or secondary lens.

The Itel A50C runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, dynamic theming, theme customization, dark mode, and an extra dim mode. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. Productivity features include customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, sharing intents, a child lock, offline voice recognition, voice commands, on-device machine learning, and phone tracking. The device can play games while they are downloading and includes a battery health check tool, but focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided.

The Itel A50C is equipped with a 4000 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable and comes with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, but the device does not support fast charging or wireless charging.

The Itel A50C includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, along with a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Itel A50C is a dual-SIM device with a cellular module, Wi-Fi, and GPS with Galileo support, while 5G is not available. It connects via USB Type-C 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2, and offers an external memory slot for storage expansion. Download speeds reach up to 300 Mbit/s and upload up to 150 Mbit/s. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, with 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner both absent. The accelerometer is the only onboard sensor — barometer, heart rate monitor, infrared sensor, and motion or optical tracking are not included. NFC, HDMI output, ANT+, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, crash detection, and a built-in projector are also not supported, and no stylus is included.

The Itel A50C includes a video light, while its display is flat and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
