The Itel Buds Neo follow a standard earbud fit without a neckband or wingtips, keeping the design minimal and lightweight. They are true wireless, meaning there are no cables or wires connecting the two earbuds. Stereo speakers are present, delivering audio to both ears, though the earbuds offer no water resistance rating, so they are not suited for wet conditions.
The Itel Buds Neo use a 14 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, spanning the full standard range of human hearing. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, so ambient sound will pass through during use. There is also no neodymium magnet in the driver configuration.
Each earbud holds a 30 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 5 hours of playback, while the 280 mAh charging case adds a further 25 hours, bringing the combined total to 30 hours before needing a wall charge. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and the earbuds support fast charging for quicker top-ups. Wireless charging is not available, so the case relies on a wired connection only. A battery level indicator is built in, letting users keep track of remaining power without guesswork.
The Itel Buds Neo connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 88 ms. The charging case uses a USB Type-C port for wired charging. Neither fast pairing nor NFC pairing is supported, so connections are established through the standard Bluetooth pairing process. On the codec side, the earbuds do not support AAC, LDAC, LDHC, or any variant of aptX — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice — meaning audio is transmitted using the standard SBC codec only.
The Itel Buds Neo support fast charging and can function as a headset for calls, with a mute function available for quick mic management. Voice prompts provide audio feedback for status updates, and playback controls are handled through an on-device control panel rather than an in-line cable remote. A travel bag is included in the box for storage and portability. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for auto-pause, a find-device feature, notification reading, or a body temperature sensor.
The Itel Buds Neo feature a dual-microphone setup to handle voice capture during calls. The microphones do not include noise cancellation, so background sounds are not actively filtered out during use.
