Itel P65

The Itel P65 has a standard candy-bar form factor with no folding mechanism or rugged reinforcement. It measures 165.9 mm tall, 77.3 mm wide, and 7.9 mm thick, giving it a relatively slim profile for a device of its size, with a total volume of around 101.3 cm³. Weighing 192.4 g, it sits in a moderate range for large-screen smartphones. The device offers no water resistance rating, so it is not rated for protection against moisture or dust exposure.

The Itel P65 features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 262 ppi. One of its notable display traits is a 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a 240Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input detection. The screen does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. It also lacks branded damage-resistant glass coverage.

The Itel P65 is driven by the Unisoc T615 chipset, built on a 12nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration of 2 cores at 1.8GHz and 6 cores at 1.6GHz, supporting 8 threads, multithreading, big.LITTLE technology, and a 10W TDP. It is paired with 6GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1866MHz, with a maximum supported memory of 12GB, and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU clocked at 850MHz, featuring 2 execution units and 64 shading units, with support for OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset also includes integrated LTE and integrated graphics, and supports 64-bit processing, TrustZone security, and a 1MB L3 cache. In benchmarks, the device scores 310,000 on AnTuTu, 1,461 and 437 on Geekbench 6 multi and single-core respectively, 1,350 and 357 on Geekbench 5, and achieves 8,529 on PCMark Work 3.0 with a battery benchmark result of 795 minutes.

The Itel P65 carries a single-lens 50MP rear camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video recording, and a manual focus option. Manual controls extend to exposure and ISO, while white balance adjustment is also available, though manual shutter speed is not supported. The camera includes a flash, HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, and timelapse, but does not offer optical zoom, optical image stabilization, a back-illuminated sensor, laser autofocus, 360-degree panorama, or RAW capture. Video recording reaches up to 1440 x 30fps, with slow-motion support, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. On the front, there is a single-lens 8MP camera without a dedicated flash or under-display placement, and no 3D photo or video recording is supported on either camera.

The Itel P65 runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user access, voice commands, offline voice recognition, on-device machine learning, and device tracking. On the privacy side, it includes clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, a media picker, Live Text, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are absent. Productivity-oriented features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, sharing intents, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and PC mode are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Itel P65 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 18W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it easy to monitor charge status at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Itel P65 includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a built-in radio, covering the basics for wired listening and broadcast audio. It does not feature stereo speakers, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Itel P65 supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), with cellular connectivity and download and upload speeds of up to 300 Mbits/s and 150 Mbits/s respectively, though 5G is not supported. It features USB Type-C, NFC, GPS with Galileo support, an accelerometer, a fingerprint scanner, and an external memory slot, rounding out a solid set of everyday connectivity options. Sensors and features not present include a gyroscope, compass, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking. 3D facial recognition, an iris scanner, ANT+, DLNA certification, HDMI output, satellite SOS, crash detection, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all absent as well.

The Itel P65 includes a video light for use during video recording, while its display is flat and standard in construction, with no curved panel, sapphire glass protection, or e-paper screen technology.
