Itel Zeno 20

The Itel Zeno 20 has a slim design measuring 8.6 mm in thickness and weighing 187 g, making it reasonably compact for everyday handling. It carries an IP54 rating, which means it offers protection against dust and water splashes, though it does not feature a rugged build and is not a folding device.

The Itel Zeno 20 features a 6.6″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 267 ppi, delivering a reasonably sharp image for its class. The panel runs at a 90 Hz refresh rate with a typical brightness of 480 nits, providing fluid scrolling and adequate visibility in well-lit conditions. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision. There is no Always-On Display mode and no secondary screen.

The Itel Zeno 20 is powered by the Unisoc T7100 chipset, built on a 28 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running two cores at 1.6 GHz and six cores at 1.2 GHz across 12 threads, using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP for workload distribution. It comes with 4GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1800 MHz and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with the maximum supported memory reaching 8GB. Graphics are handled by the integrated PowerVR GE8322 GPU clocked at 550 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chip also integrates LTE and includes ARM TrustZone for hardware-level security. Cache memory consists of 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3, while the SoC operates within a 9W TDP. Geekbench 6 results come in at 164 for single-core and 725 for multi-core workloads.

The Itel Zeno 20 features a single-lens 13 MP rear camera built on a CMOS sensor, capable of recording video at 1080p and 30 fps with continuous autofocus during recording. It supports phase-detection autofocus for stills as well as touch autofocus, and includes a range of manual controls covering exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. Additional shooting modes include HDR, burst mode, panorama, timelapse, and slow-motion video, while RAW capture and 360-degree panorama are not supported. The rear flash consists of a single LED unit with no dual-tone or RGB configuration. On the front, a 5 MP camera handles selfies without a front-facing flash, and it is a single-lens setup not positioned under the display. Neither HDR10 nor Dolby Vision recording is available on this device.

The Itel Zeno 20 runs Android 14 and includes a solid set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are absent. On the personalization side, it supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are not available. Usability features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, sharing intents, widgets, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. The system also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, phone tracking, and multi-user accounts. OS updates do not arrive directly from the vendor, Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are not supported, and the device cannot function as a PC.

The Itel Zeno 20 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 15W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Itel Zeno 20 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio output, though it does not feature stereo speakers. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC. The device also lacks a built-in radio.

The Itel Zeno 20 supports 4G LTE with dual SIM capability, reaching download speeds of up to 300 MBits/s and upload speeds of 150 MBits/s, though 5G is not available. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi and GPS with Galileo support, while NFC, ANT+, infrared, and HDMI output are absent. The device connects via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and includes an external memory slot for expandable storage. For biometric security, a fingerprint scanner is present, but there is no 3D facial recognition or iris scanner. On the sensor front, an accelerometer is included, while a gyroscope, compass, barometer, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are all missing. Safety features such as emergency SOS via satellite and crash detection are not supported, and no stylus or built-in projector is included.

The Itel Zeno 20 includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
