The Keychron K1 Max QMK Wireless is a low-profile tenkeyless (80%) mechanical keyboard built for gaming use, offering three connection options — Bluetooth 5.1, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB — alongside a detachable cable for added convenience. It uses a plate-mount construction and delivers a polling rate of 1000Hz, with a battery rated at 95 hours of use on a single charge. The keyboard is designed with Mac compatibility in mind and measures 346mm wide, 118.5mm deep, and 24.1mm thick, weighing 608g in total. A one-year warranty is included.
The K1 Max QMK Wireless is built with an aluminum and plastic case paired with an aluminum plate, finished in gray. It features a backlit layout with full RGB lighting, and ships with a wrist rest and adjustable feet included, giving users some control over typing angle and comfort out of the box.
The K1 Max QMK Wireless uses Gateron Low-profile mechanical switches with a linear feel, actuating at 1.7mm and offering a total travel distance of 3mm. The actuation force sits at 50g, keeping keypresses light and consistent. The switches are hot-swappable, meaning they can be replaced without soldering directly on the board.
The K1 Max QMK Wireless includes N-key rollover (NKRO) and QMK firmware support, allowing for full simultaneous keypress registration and deep custom key mapping. It does not support analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, or adjustable actuation, and there is no USB passthrough or onboard display. ZMK and VIA are also not supported on this board.
The K1 Max QMK Wireless follows an ISO United Kingdom layout with a standard key arrangement, using OEM-profile keycaps made from PBT double-shot shine-through material. Media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and there is no rotary dial on this board.
