The Keychron K13 Max QMK/VIA Wireless is a low-profile tenkeyless mechanical keyboard using a plate mount construction, measuring 346 mm wide, 118.5 mm tall, and 24.1 mm thick at a weight of 600 g. It supports Bluetooth 5.1, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB connectivity, with a polling rate of 1000 Hz across connection modes and a detachable cable included for wired use. The keyboard is designed with Mac compatibility in mind and can run for up to 95 hours on a single charge, backed by a one-year warranty.
The keyboard features a case built from plastic and aluminum, available in black or gray, with a polycarbonate plate underneath the switches. Backlighting is RGB with a north-facing LED direction, and the board ships with both adjustable feet for typing angle adjustments and a wrist rest included in the box.
The keyboard uses Gateron Low-profile mechanical switches with a linear feel, actuating at 1.7 mm with a force of 50 g and a total travel distance of 3 mm. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The keyboard supports QMK and VIA for firmware-level customization and remapping, and includes NKRO for registering simultaneous keypresses without ghosting. It does not support ZMK, analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, adjustable actuation, USB passthrough, or an onboard display.
The keyboard uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement, fitted with PBT keycaps in an OEM profile. It includes dedicated media keys for direct access to media controls, but does not feature a rotary dial.
