It supports wireless and wired connectivity, with options spanning USB, Bluetooth 5.3, and 2.4GHz wireless, and delivers an 8000Hz polling rate for responsive input. Battery life is rated at 550 hours, and the keyboard is designed with Mac compatibility in mind, along with a detachable cable for added convenience. Physically, it measures 306mm wide, 116mm deep, and 22mm thick, weighing in at 540g. The K3 Ultra comes with a one-year warranty.
The K3 Ultra features a case constructed from a combination of plastic and aluminum, with an aluminum plate, and is available in both black and white colorways. It includes RGB backlighting with a north-facing LED direction, and adjustable feet allow for some variation in typing angle. A wrist rest is not included in the package.
The K3 Ultra comes equipped with the Keychron Milk POM Red Switch, a mechanical linear switch with a fixed actuation point of 1.3mm, a 45g actuation force, and a total travel distance of 3.1mm. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The K3 Ultra supports a broad set of input and customization features, including analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, and adjustable actuation, giving users fine-grained control over how keystrokes are registered. N-key rollover (NKRO) is also present, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is recognized. The K3 Ultra uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement and includes dedicated media keys for direct media control. The keycaps are made from PBT double-shot material in an LSA profile, and there is no rotary dial on this keyboard.
